Training, education and technology are at the core of what we do at BHHS Homesale Realty and today we’re going to review some of the most important technological tools that real estate agents are using to succeed right now.

Leveraging Real Estate Technology Means More Productivity and Fewer Headaches

The biggest thing to remember about real estate technology is that there are many different ways to use each tool. Social media is perfect for engaging, interacting and building relationships on a one-on-one level, but it’s also a great place for paid marketing. When you join BHHS Homesale Realty, our goal is to provide you with the best real estate technology, and the knowledge to unlock its full potential.

  • Constant Contact – Real estate clients like convenience, and that includes being able to contact you through their preferred channels. Make sure you have a presence on major social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, so that people can reach you through social. Check your email frequently, and consider using instant messaging apps to make communication even easier.
  • A Guided Tour – Video home tours are already very popular among online audiences, and it’s only a matter of time until virtual reality tours follow suit. These engaging, immersive tours are great because they allow the audience to feel like they’re touring the home in person, even if they’re actually located halfway across the country. For video tours, the technology already exists to make DIY recording and editing much easier, so you can create professional quality video without professional costs.
  • On-Demand Information – Both real estate agents and real estate clients now have access to more information than ever before, as long as they know where to look. If you want clients to value your website as a real estate resource, it’s important to provide an easy, feature-rich MLS search so that they can browse homes in their terms. There are few better ways to keep real estate clients coming back for more.
  • Relationship Management – On the agent side, that on-demand information comes in the form of customer relationship management (CRM) software, which automatically records and stores key information on clients. CRM makes it easier to manage relationships without digging through piles of paperwork, and helps you time your marketing to fit the client’s purchasing process. If you are taking on a new client from another agent, CRM also makes it very easy to get up to speed.

Create video content, blog posts and appealing images to expand your social media footprint. In major markets across the country, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brokerages are dominating with a powerful mix of strength, skills and experience. Built on the strong heritage of a world-renowned brand and coupled with decades of relocation knowledge, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is a network of proven leaders.

 

Recently, twenty-four Relocation Directors from across the Country decided to get together and take advantage of an opportunity to promote the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand to Relocation leaders attending the 2014 Spring Employee Relocation Council (ERC) Conference.  We felt that this would be an exceptional time to bring attention to our new brand, as this is also the 50th anniversary of the ERC.  There were two opportunities of which we could participate. 

 

The first was a full two-page ad promoting the brand and our companies in the 50th Anniversary edition of Mobility Magazine.  The second was to create and man a booth in the exhibition hall of the ERC Conference.  ERC members represent all aspects of the relocation industry.  Attendees include Relocation Management Companies, HR and Executive Corporate Representatives, Moving Companies, Rental Companies, Pet Movers, Real Estate Broker’s and Relocation Directors and many, many others.  This was our opportunity to capture a large audience of relocation professionals to introduce the BHHS brand.

 

Twelve Relocation Directors and their companies participated in both the ad and the booth.  We decided to highlight our markets by wearing not only the BHHS colors, but also sashes (like Miss America) with our States represented.  At the booth we also had a machine to make luggage tags out of business cards for attendees, brochures and other items that promoted the brand.  We had a drawing for an I-Pad Mini so that we could collect contact information as well.  The sashes were the talk of the exhibit hall and everyone asked about them and wanted to know more about our new brand.  It was a very successful promotion and no one left the conference without knowing more about BHHS and our individual companies.

Another Milestone!

New Company Update from Doug Rebert, Managing Director:

Dear Team Members, 

Our parent company, Homesale Realty Services Group, Inc., has been honored by the Central Penn Business Journal as one of the Top 100 Private Companies in Central PA in 2010. 

This year, we placed #41 between the Warrell Company in Camp Hill and Brubaker Excavating, Inc. in Bowmansville. 

No other Realtor-related home services Company placed in the top 100. 

Central Penn Business Journal also ranked companies according to county.  We are excited to share with you that Homesale Realty Services Group, Inc. placed as the #10 privately held Company in Lancaster County.  

Companies are ranked by the combined revenue generated from all of their entities.  The contributions from Prudential Homesale Services Group,  HomeSale Lending, HomeSale Settlement Services, HomeSale Insurance and American Heritage Property Management all contributed to our gaining this significant recognition. 

In the recent past, the Homesale Realty Company and HomeSale Settlement Services were both ranked as #1 by the Central Penn Business Journal.  HomeSale Lending did not participate in last year’s survey due to the new joint venture with Wells Fargo.  Had they done so, HomeSale Lending would have been #7 last year. 

Congratulations to each member of our Team!  Together, we have achieved more.
