What is a QR Code?

A QR Code (Quick Response Code) is a barcode designed to allow its contents (text, urls, or other data) to be decoded at high speed.  They were initially created to track parts in vehicle manufacturing; however, they have become a great way to connect the offline world with the online world.

By downloading a QR Code reader on your phone at http://m.clikbrix.com, you will be able to scan the codes by taking a picture of them on your smart phone.  There are various websites such as http://Goo.gl and http://qrcode.kaywa.com that allow you to generate them for free.

As Realtors, QR Codes are a great way to connect your print marketing with your online marketing.  Add them to your postcards, property flyers, yard signs, and business cards then link them to your website, blog, facebook fan page, virtual tour, or the property detailed page for your listing.  Not only will you drive traffic to your online marketing but by utilizing these codes you will be on the cutting edge of technology.
